Hi I've got a steak and kidney pukka pie which had a use by dated on the 7th May. At one time I opened the pie and changed my mind about eating it then and intended to eat it later. I forgot about it and have only just realised its been in the fridge out of date and with the cardboard container opened for over a week. Will all the food and drinks in the fridge be safe to drink? I don't want to get poisoned because of toxic fumes or something like that.
Hi jamie52933
As long as all the other food in the fridge were wrapped and sealed or covered and are in date it should be fine......best wishes....
IT had an expiry date of May 1st, and you'd eaten it last time you posted this.
stop posting silly questions and go and play out in the sun.
Hi Jamie
It's surprising how many people or myself even do this at times.
It's now coming to middle of May.
If you had popped it into the freezer it would have been a better idea, that's what I normally do. It also depends how high you have got the temperature of your fridge Aswell. You can always put things like that to the back of your fridge on the top shelf, where it is much colder at the back, would be better.
But I personally wouldn't eat it now if you didn't put it in the freezer, or if your fridge isn't that cold..to be on the safe side, throw it away.. The rest of your things, if they are covered should be fine anyway.most things keep for a week in the fridge. Then after that throw it, and next time pop it in the freezer okay👍😀Liz
