Leg pain when standing or walking

This has now been going on for 3 years. I can only stand for a short period and then i need to sit. Pain feels like pressure when standing, If i walk fast its less painfull untill i stop.

Bascially the longer i stand or walknthe more painfull it is. I was peevioiusly very active and could work 8 hours mostly active maybe 7.3 hours a days. Then go home and walk around no problems no pain.

I have been checked three times ultrasound for varicous veins none. Full vascular mri all clear. Ultrasound of the organs.

I get muscle spasms in my calfs and my blood pressure is lower after walking than before. However its within normal ranges. I thought blood pressure was ment to increase with exercise.

Two vascluar consulants have dismissed me as they say nothing wrong.

Doctor has run three blood tests, all clear, i wsd tested for every auto immune possible to long to list them all hear.

Is it possible to have issues with free calcuim even if all my bloods came back normall. I really canr think what elese it could be as ibe been tested for everything else.

You may have Fibromyalgia which they are now saying may be an autoimmune disease rather than a syndrome.

If you Google Fibromyalgia and if it fits, make an appt to see GP. In any event, keep a detailed diary. What time you got up, how you slept, what your thoughts are, how you feel, what you ate, what you did and put times by everything.

Right now you need to listen to your body and do what it says. Don’t stand for too long, don’t sit for too long, don’t walk for too long and don’t lay in bed all day.

Fibromyalgia comes under Rheumatology. If you can’t get anywhere with your GP, request a second opinion.

Do not give in and do not give up! Pain wise, there is not a magic fix. I use wheaties which you put in the microwave to heat and they provide damp heat which penetrates or you can put them in the freezer for cold. I also use an electric heat pad. Both of these you can buy from Amazon as well as other places.

Keep your mind occupied. Read, I also play mahjong and wordspace and a vast array of others. I tape and watch action films, jigsaws if you like them, I watch a lot on UTube, funny stuff, educational stuff, how to stuff, dash cam, you would not believe what there is on there.

You also need to keep warm, hydrated, and try to keep your spirits up and don’t do anything which stop any of these things. Plenty of rest and quality sleep if you can. Don’t panic, do keep going until you get the help you need. Talk to trusted friends and family, let them help you, you are not proving anything to anybody by trying to carry on as “normal“. I think you will be surprised what people think. Good luck! :hugs:

I didn’t mention as so many things have been an issue here but I was seen by rheumatology at the hospital and discharged. I thing beacuse all my bloods came back normal. Ive read into fibromyalgia and I dont have widespread pain and fatigue. The fact that incant stand is not due to fatigue but due to extreme pain.
