I'm wondering if any of you with Wegener's got a leg ulcer?  I got a venus leg ulcer told it takes months to heal.  Getting very discouraged thinking I'm not going to be able to wear shorts etc this summer again

Yes - I have Wegeners and got a leg ulcer in April 2014 - turned out to be Pyoderma Gangrenosum - a hard to heal ulcer. Mine has just healed! Had my prednisalone increased from 5mg per day to 60 mg per day for 5 months - not good news as it really helped to destroy my spine (now waiting for major surgery) Had two dressing changes a week for over a year. Glad your leg ulcer has healed.  Mine closed in December but it took 7 months.  Leg looks good considering but told it will never completely close in although, at that time told to give it 1 year to heal completely.  I will not think this way, it is still healing meaning layers of skin to grow back.  Sorry to hear about your spine, prednisone a hard drug to take, I also had no choice I had to take it for 6 months, aweful, got No sleep on this drug.  Hope you feel better soon.  Take care
