Hi
Im really scared i have leukemia
First of all, i’ve been getting 1-2 red spots on my skin and they usually fade away.
I used to get nosebleeds but i dont anymire.
My grandpa said that he gets really bad nosebleeds too. And my mom said my dad and my aunt used to get terrible nosebleeds as a child.
Im a major hypochondriac.
I believed i had a cancerous melanoma for 6 months and then i went to the doctor he said it was warts
Recently i got 2 small bruises on my wrist
I keep checking my body with a flashlight for brhises and blood spots
I have so much anxiety i have a panic attack at school and home
Another thing is that my mom has the same thing.
She has lots of blood spots and bruises and shes anemic (i think)
Im so scared.
My mom says shes gonna take me to a blood test but i think shes fed up with me bc everytime she took me to a doctor it turned out to be nothing
Im 14 btw
Ignore the typos im writing this in class to calm myself
Hello ana.hitaa. I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with this. I understand that any changes in one's body are always frightening especially when they can be a sign of something serious. The red spots you are referring to in Leukaemia are called petechiae. However, there are about a hundred different things that can cause red spots to appear on your skin that have nothing to do with petechiae or Leukaemia. Maybe you have issues with Anemia like your mom? Maybe your issue is simply due to a skin problem? While it is always a good idea to seek medical advice, I honestly wouldn't worry too much about this.
I understand your concern. However, people get all kinds of little bruises and spots on their skin all the time. Nosebleeds are also very common. You would know it if you had leukemia .
I used to get nosebleeds and I get those little red spots that come and go. I've had the red spots for years.
sometimes people overthink things and then they think negative. That may be what is happening with you.
The fact that you already have anxiety is why your mind is going towards negative thinking.
you are young and most likely very healthy. It sounds like fear has taken over but you don't have to let it do that!
if you're really struggling with this, see if your mom can get you some counseling because that is very helpful! Many people with anxiety do this and it just helps to talk to someone who can help.
in the meantime, get active and do things that you enjoy. That helps keep your mind focused. The more you think about those fears, the worse your anxiety will be.
remember, anxiety causes negative thinking which causes fearful thinking. And fearful thinking is not based on actual facts, it's based on just fear and "what if" thinking. It's basically a waste of time because I did it myself for many years and I really regret it! Nothing bad ever happened.
you're going to be OK! 🌸🌸🌸😁
Hi get your bloods checked and when you are with the doctor ask for help with your health anxiety. You are far too young to be worrying about your health so get help please.
