After having my pre op at the end of june and not hearing anything until now i decided to get in touch with my consultant got a date for the 18th October got told its taken a bit longer because i am part of a new hip trail and there is alot more people and things to arange and book for the big day any one else had a tribo fit hip replacemen?
I have read about the active Torino hip. It has special lubrication guards against friction, Acetabular Buffer, made of a gelatinous-like hydrophilic substance that is supposed to imitate the fluid film layer naturally present in joints. I'm gettin that one next time around, sounds worth waiting for.
not approved by the FDA yet but will be soon.
let us know about allthe details. I am so grateful that you are so brave to be in this study for so many of us who desperately need better quality stable longer lasting hip replacement components.
thank you.

I underwent bilateral hip replacement and have ceramic fittings.. good luck you will be fine, its a relief not to have the constant pain in the hip
Yes thats the one seems to be getting very good results in all the tests at least when the buffer starts to be worn out they can just replace the buffer rather than a new thr.i have be searhing for more information about it and any one who has had it but beacuse it is still very new there hasnt been many done consultant said i am one of 500 to have it done fingers crossed will all go well 😃
