Hi jsut started the nose breathing and the buteokyo breathing method.. it is helping but i do feel really light headed is this normal or am i doing this wrong>?? any suggestions would be greatful.. yay 5 mins without the urge to take a deep breath or yawn!!!
Why are you trying Buteyko? Have you got asthma?

i have had the need to yawn and deep breath for about a year and the doc thinks it anxiety.
Have you any of those illnesses? From what I have read Buteyko has a lot to be desired, but may help asthma. Can your doctor tell you any research to prove that Buteyko helps the items you mention?
I am not sure why you are bothering with it unless you have a problem it might help. I would just try and enjoy your life.
Hiya thanks for reply. I've been suffering from anxiety for about a year. Well I say anxiety but basically a need to yawn or take a deep breath. It's exhausting and the knock on affect is chest pain, arm ache, head pressure. Doc suggested this way of breathing before anti ds which I don't want. So I'm kinda trying anything. There is lots about it on net and comes highly recommend so I just thought I would try.
