my periods are usually 5 days long and start off very heavy , however this period has been light and is hardly getting blood on the tampon it is only showing when i wipe , this is my 5th day now and it is still the same. i took a pregnancy test and it was negative does anyone know what this could be?

Sorry to hear about your concern. This has happened to me once or twice in the past and is not a cause for concern.
I asked my GP about it and two doctors both said as it is just one cycle, it cannot classified as being “irregular”.
Also, it depends on your age and whether you might be approaching The Memopause. In addition, stress, illness, bodyweight and general health habits can impact your monthly cycle. I would suggest keeping a log of your cycles; start, end, whether it came on time, duration, what the flow was like and note any subjective abnormalities. This way you can get to know your body and be able to present data to your doctor if the need arose.
