This has been bother me for a little bit. I'm a 19 year old male. Almost 3 weeks ago I lost my virginity to a mtf transgender woman. It was a hookup thing. I think she's much more sexually active than me, but I asked if she was clean and she told me she was clean.
She performed oral sex on me unprotected, and then I used a condom for the anal sex but she wanted to perform oral sex on me again so she took my condom off, did that, and then we had unprotected anal sex for about 30 seconds. That's it.
I'm really worried that I have something permanent. I really don't care if I catch something curable, I just don't want HIV or herpes essentially. I'm getting tested as soon as possible. What is the likelihood of me having something? And what should I do?
Anything unprotected with interning your penis in a vagina and especially anal sex with another man is a must test.. wish u the best
What would you say the likeliness is? I'm sorry if that's a difficult question.
I’m not sure if you go on the poz forum and make a thread u can get more answers.. I just read countless times oral can’t transmit hiv but anal or vaginal can without protection .. just because u made a mistake this time mean you got it though. Try to stay calm and just test. Wish u the best
Thank you. I appreciate the help.
It depends on age was she much older? And not trying to go tmi but where you yhe top or bottom? Top is really like pretty low when your the bottom theres nore of a risk. But really hiv is rare. I had my ex fiance cheat and share needles with a man i didnt get hiv maybe cuz they didnt have hiv but still its scary to think about. And really you can live a fairly normal life with hiv. Its like having diabetes or crohns those are lifeterm diseases. But since theirs a stigma around hiv i can see why you wouldn't want having it and i dont blame you no body does but this iz when you have to be smarter in sexual intercourse.
Also if you want the best test get the 4th gen.
He has sex with a man not female , I think u miss read it wrong
No i read he is a mtf transgender so i am sure the person he had sex with identifies theirselfs as she because they became female.
I think your chances of getting infected from 30 seconds of unprotected insertive anal sex are less than 5%, even if your partner is HIV+. You should get tested though. You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.
If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated. Good luck, and please use condoms in future unless you're sure that both you and your partner are STI-free.
As Erika mentioned btw, HIV isn't as scary as it once was either. If you google "rather have hiv than diabetes", you'll find an article by a UK doctor saying that he'd be a lot more worried about diabetes as the outcomes are worse. Most people don't worry about diabetes though, even though it's so much more common.
I'm not sure how much older but I'd say at least a decade between us. I was the top. Yeah I know it was a mistake to not be as careful as I should've been.
Thank you, I appreciate that. I will get tested. And I'll definitely update this thread
That's actually really nice to hear
I think the odds of contracting it is low! The chances of contracting hiv from a dirty needle is less than 1%. And its true! Toppers are much less likely, especially if there are no open wounds on your penis.
You should consider taking prep to minimize your chances of getting hiv altogether.
