First of all thank you for this forum as it made me much more aware of my symptoms and the ability to understand my BPH symptoms much better. I am 40 year old and have had a tight bladder neck for about 10 years. My prostate is not overly large and I have been able to void with the support of alpha blockers for 6-7 years. Last few years my symptoms has worsen and I did not even feel the amount of retention (was retaining around 1000 ml at any given time) nor the constant UTIs and agreed with my uro to have the BNI surgery. Also as I started noticing fluid build up and other issues that made me suspect issues with kidneys. 5 days ago I had the BNI, with one incision only due to my age in order to prevent retro. I still retain around 300 ml and have to CIC in the evening to empty fully. the void speed hasnt improved and i try to force myself to void as often as possible in hope of improving my symptoms. Does anyone else recognise these symptoms after BNI and is this normal? I am worried that I might have damaged my bladder so that it simply is no longer able to empty fully. At the sane time I dont understand why the flow of urine is not better and still remains this low. I have called my uro and waiting for his call. thank you all
