I was diagnosed with pancreatitis in december and spent 3 weeks in the hospital (it was that severe); I remember getting slight pain over my liver as well (they found I do have a fatty liver). I have not had any alcohol since the diagnosis (because i'm terrified and because my liver was fatty). I am only 23 so I was told my body will be able to correct the liver issues (I did lose part of my pancreas). The past few days I have been having the same pain over my liver that I had with pancreatitis (I have not had the pancreatic pain). I don't know if this is a cause for concern or not. Could it just be my body removing some of the fat and for whatever reason that is causing some pain? An appointment to see the pancreatic specialist I used to see takes over a month, so I'm not sure who else I should see. It doesn't seem like I should go to the emergency room for something like this, but did anyone else have any experience with this?
I would see your pancreas specialist even if it takes over a month. You could try asking for the appointment to be put forward or asking for a cancellation appointment.
