Hi people, just found your site, I have just been diagnosed with L.S. after 21 miserable years, I am 45 and have been suffering since I was 24. I heard about L.S. years ago and went to my doctor and he said couldn,t possibly be that!!! just had my second biopsy in ten years and been diagnosed. I must say it is a relief to at least have a name for it.I have been through the mill over the years, I have had allergy tests, thrush treatments ( all of them lol) been to the std clinic even though I knew it wasn,t an std,(so embarassing)I use dermovate to heal my skin, but it burns the life out of me, zirtec tablets are a great help during the day they kept me sane at one point and piriton sometimes help at night (they are both antihistamines) I keep a tub of vaseline in the bathroom it really helps to put some on before you take a pee lol stops the stinging.
thanks for posting --we all need support with this horrible condition and its hard to talk to family about it. I havent heard of zinc tabs, will look into that. With me its the dermovate thats causing a horrible rash on my legs, I feel like stopping it altogether because the LS itself wasnt as bad as this rash is.
Hi just want to say I use tablets called ZIRTEC not zinc you can buy these at the chemist and they give great relief from the itching
Yes, LOL I just realized after I posted it ! I am familiar wih zirtec ty x
 Hi Lol as you say at least you know what it is now.Can I ask you have you read my letter and others re Paladin Nappy cream. I have been using it on its own now for over a month no dermovate or anything and it
really has worked.I just can not believe it! I have had LS for 2 years and nothing has really helped and have just come back from hols and been
swiming in sea and pool and had no prblems.Hope you decide to give it a try and all goes well with you.If you need any more info re how to order the paladin cream please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards

After suffering for 4 years, and being diagnosed with lots of different symptoms (LS, dermatitis, eczema, thrush, etc), my dermatologist has suggested trying 50% liquid paraffin in 50% white soft paraffin for washing and after 3 weeks I feel better than I have in years. It is available over the counter in the pharmacist for around £4 per tub, so it might be worth a try. Makes the bath dangerously slippy though.
Have also tried Hydromol Ointment which can be used instead of soap, and is also quite gentle - I find aqeuous cream too harsh.
hope these are of help.
