Living with Varicocele - Tips?

I have a varicocele and have been to my GP twice and been told both times that I shouldn't worry about it if got no pain and if causes me problems with infertility in future then I should return to see the options available. I have also read on many websites its best left alone

Of course, I have concerns about infertility in future but what will be will be, but just wondering what I can do in terms of giving myself the best chance of not having fertility issues, For example:

I keep a fairly good diet and dont smoke, but is there any food in particiular i can add to my diet to help?

Is there certain exercises that can help?

I have read to wear tight boxer shorts if pain but also the over hearing can cause inferility, so is lose fitting better?

Any other tips?

How significant is the varicocele? I would ask for semen and bloods for testosterone... People do live with this problem free but many dont. In the US the advice is always treat and some, but nowhere near all urologists in the UK are starting to realise that.

I'm about to undergo an embolisation for my varicocele soon. I have low count...

Google Dr Marc Goldstein Varicocele. He's the world leader on this subject and its link to male infertility. He advises treatment sooner rather than later as it only gets worse if left... Not better.

What I would add is... This is a very common problem... Youre not alone. Weigh it up... 1 in 10.have it so many have lived with it problem free for years.

I havent been told from the doctor what grade but from reading online I would say it is a grade 2. I dont experience any pain which I feel fortunate about reading some stories of other guys going through hell

From reading here http://www.researchgate.net/post/Does_any_varicocele_regardless_of_the_grade_need_surgical_intervention the general opinion seems to be to leave it alone. I am 24 at the moment, wouldnt be looking to have kids till late 20s early 30s.

Can methods such as IVF work if the male has fertility issues due to varicocele?
