So I have seen so many comments and discussions but it all seems like they are recently banded or are just about to be (like me)
Has any one had their band for quite a while and has any one had any regrets ?
I believe I have researched as much as I possibly can
havent really heard much from any one who has had it done for over a year yet tho
I know what you mean, it's hard to find people on forums that have had it done for a while, I guess they are so used to it they don't really think about it!
I've had mine for 8 months now, but I was lucky as my mum has had her for almost 9 years now so she has been a great help and I saw what she went through having it done and getting used to it etc!
She dropped approx 11 stone and has kept it off and has no regrets, something's still don't agree with her and get stuck and she is sick still but has learnt so much and knows what to avoid the majority of the time! She has no regrets either x
Hello Brightomem. I had my sleeve (80% of the stomach is removed) 4.5 years ago. I have absolutely no regrets. I lost 6 stone put 1 back on and have plateaud.
I am still significantly overweight due to my inability to exercise much as I have a significant back problem and arthritis everywhere. Go for it and good luck. D
Hi there I had my band fitted in 2005 I kept it in for 7 years nearly and lost 12.5 stone but had to have it removed due to my port turning, I developed a hernia and the flap at the bottom of the osophegus got stuck open I had terrible acid reflux, I could not sleep laying down as acid would run from my nose and mouth to the point of choking, sounds gross, it was and had instant relief once removed and repairs sorted, needless to say I put the weight back on and now going for a bypass on June 10th, I don't regret the band as it was amazing having lost all that weight but if I had my time again I would have opted for the bypass to avoid the suffering good luck and wish you well
