Country: Saudi Arabia

Primary complaint: Chronic upper/mid back pain.

Duration: Many years.

Existing medical conditions: History of an ischemic stroke approximately 4 years ago, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.

Current medications: Blood pressure medications, heart medications, and cholesterol-lowering medications.

Smoking: Former smoker (approximately 30 years, quit 3 years ago).

Alcohol: No.

Recreational drugs: No.

History of Present Illness

My father was involved in a road traffic accident many years ago and sustained a thoracic spine injury. About 30 years ago, he was evaluated in the United States. As we understood it, surgery was considered possible but also high risk, and the recommendation at that time was to avoid surgery unless it became absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, I no longer have those medical records.

He has continued to experience chronic upper and mid-back pain that affects his daily life. About four years ago, he suffered an ischemic stroke and has since been treated for hypertension and high cholesterol. We recently obtained updated MRI scans and laboratory tests, which are attached to this post.

I would greatly appreciate a comprehensive review of his case based on the attached reports.
