I think this looks like herpes. It is slightly painful. I was just curious what others thought. I have had a blood test which came back positive for HSV1 and negative for HSV2.
yes it does look like herepes,having a positive blood test means that your infection wasn’t recent. and if you were wondering if we can get hsv 1 on genital,the answer is yes
Thanks for your reply. The blood test was 4 years ago after I had one bump, but could not get a swab. That was the last time I had any symptoms until very recently. I assume this is genital HSV1, I only wish I knew what my triggers were…
usually stress and an unhealthy diet.herpes is not dangerous,let it motivate you to have a healthier life and you would certainly get less outbreaks and forget that you even have it.wish you the best
If you came back negative for HSV2 then it’s likely either oral herpes which isnt as big a deal as you think. It could be infected follicles from shaving, which will clear up in a week or two. Worst case scenarios would be HPV warts, or the start of a staph infection.
This is one of those wait and see things, try not to touch it too much to let the skin chill out. If anything some cortozone cream for just one day dont go overboard. See where you are in like a week.
I don’t think its HPV. I was tested for that at my last annual exam and have had no new partners. I have had the same partner for over 6 years and I’ve had 2 children in that time and have been given every STD test under the sun during my pregnancies. I seem to have these outbreaks/issues following oral sex w/ my spouse and sometimes wonder if it might have something to do with his facial hair or “beard burn” but this most recent picture looks more like HSV.
