Hi im 25 year old male , iv been stressed and suffering with severe insomnia for a few weeks , doctor wrote me a script for Frisium (clobazam 10mg x3 ) for anxiety , and zimmovane (zopiclone 7.5mg x 1) has anybody used these meds before if so are they ok ( hate any medecines etc) ? he wanted to write a script for xanax (alprazolam) but i said no to it due to the stories iv heard about it
Good for you on declining the benzo. They tend to work short term, cause rebound anxiety and insomnia, and if you use them for just a couple of weeks, dependency is a real problem. I don't know about the meds you were prescribed, but I thought I'd mention a technique called tapping that can really help with anxiety and insomnia. It uses tapping acupressure points while reciting a mantra, sounds hoaky but I've done it and after a few rounds I have been able to fall back asleep. Do a search, tapping techniques.
Well here's the bad news both are addictive.clobazam as I understand it is a benzo,so beware of long term usage.Usually no moe than 2 weeks. The other while not a benzo can also be addictive.just do your research if you are concerned. There are many, including myself, who are trying everything to get off this stuff. It is very dangerous and most Drs.once they put you on it have no idea what it takes or how to get off it. I, like you suffered from stress and severe insomnia and was put on xanax three years ago.Tolerance can build up then you more for the same results. Then you can not just stop taking you must wean off, this can be very difficult. If you do choose this route only do it for a short time.Iwould not wish benzo wd on anyone.Just do your research and then decide.Good luck
thanks for the replys people , i decided to only take the benzos on days i 100% need them and not for the sake of it , i took exactly what the doctor told me to yesterday and it absolutly flattened me to the stage i coudnt get off my couch ( eg: too lazy/relaxed ) to do anything
