Hello all, I'm having surgery to remove umbilical hernia mesh ( ventralex 6 cm) on August 30 by the same surgeon who placed it. Said he has little experience with removing mesh but made it sound like a simple and easy procedure. Not sure if its safe to go with someone inexperienced, but I'm at the point of desperation where the pain is almost unbearable. One concern I have is nerve damage from removing the mesh due to the scar tissue that surrounds it. It'll be exactly 7 months since the mesh was placed on the date of removal surgery... Can anyone give input on this or share their experience? Much appreciated. Johnathan
