i have herpes 1 n 2. i feel like i totally lost my sex drive and cant cum. would tht have something to do with herpes or does someone think something else ?

I totally feel for you and know where you’re coming from. I’ve experienced a similar thing with losing my sex drive and having a harder time to cum. It has got better over time but its still not the same as before. I’m confident this 100% has to do with the mental effects of a herpes diagnosis and not the physical effects of having the herpes virus. It all comes down to how you perceive HSV. Upon first diagnosis its easy to feel shame and disgust, but as time goes on you realize its not a big deal, so many people have it and its just the stigma that makes us feel this way about ourselves! I’d say to spend more time getting back in touch with yourself, if you need to masturbate to remember what those sensations feel like, watch porn, or use toys to help you cum. I’m right there with you its been a journey feeling back in touch with my sexual self. I used to have an insatiable sex drive and I know how devastating the herpes diagnosis is. I don’t believe its the Herpes. However it might be that you feel depressed about having the Herpes or anxious about passing it on. That could be messing with you psychologically and affecting your libido.
