I've treated for hypothyroidism for over 27 years and complained of low energy and fatigueness for most of that time. I take Levothyroxine 0.125MG TAB and liothyronine NA 5MCG TAB. My current endocrinologist refuses to change medication to a natural thyroid medication such as Armour. On recent lab work my parathyroid was 38, vitamin D 48.20, Free T4 1.19 total 8.8, and TSH of .111; all other bloodwork was within normal limits. Will increase of any of the above medication exacerbate low energy symptom? Any help will be appreciated because I have an appointment next week.
A TSH of .111 seems really low to me, possibly in the hyper range. Hyperthyroidism can cause fatigue, weakness and tiredness, just as hypothyroidism can. Try to get your TSH up more towards 1.00. Hopefully you'll feel better, if not, then perhaps it's time to look for an alternative treatment.
Wow, this is a lot of questions!
My experience is that synthetic thyroid meds work for e at any dose, reading heresynthetics work for very few people and that it takes at least a year to dose.
After 27 years of thyroid symptoms, it seems like these meds either were dosed wrong the entire time, or don't work for you. Either way, it's time for a change.
Maybe try a different doctor. Also try looking into alternative treatments if that interests you.
Boy, autocorrect is horrible. That should have been "synthetic thyroid meds didn't work for me at any dose."
