I've noticed for the past month or so that I have a resting heart rate of 50 bpm. Laying down. I'm NOT an athlete but I'm not overweight. I feel like this could have cause for some of my chest pain from anxiety? is 50 too low? Clearly google says anything less than 60 is bradycardia unless extremely fit which isn't my case. I do always feel tired but I also struggle with severe anxiety. so..
50 is a tad low , but you dud say when you lay down it goes to 50 . When laying down , everything slows slows down , dud you get your vitamin D levels checked yet ?
I’m not sure though if it should be around 50 though even if I’m laying down.
Also I have not gotten my vitamin D levels checked and I see almost every single one of your replies talking about that but honestly I’m not really sure that’s the cure for all of the problems I’ve seen you post on. I get vitamin D is important but it mostly regulates fatigue or tired feeling, low energy/perhaps mood.
I’ve seen where SOME researchers say it MAY be linked to anxiety and things like that but I’m not sure it’s quite the lifesaver as claimed.
If my problems are truly from a lack of a simple vitamin I bow down in awe and shock.
You are right VD isnt a cure all , but it is a vital pro hormone your body needs to function properly . From brain function to heart health . There are a lot of doctors that is indeed calling it a miracle supplement due to it healing a lot of elements … You wont know until you have your levels checked .. Ahh no its not just a simple vitamin ,it is actually a pro hormone . That affects your whole bodies wellbeing . Please have yours checked .it could make all the difference
My resting heart rate is also around 50 when I’m sat down and has been known to go as low as 42 when I’m asleep. I have had my heart checked and all comes back okay so I think it is due to anxiety. Try not to worry
just mention it to your doctor. Many people have heart rates in the 50s, yours is on the lower end of that. That may be why you’re feeling tired but we can’t diagnose you on this site so it’s best to discuss it with your doctor.
make sure you are staying hydrated with water. Do you know what your blood pressure is? You can get that checked out at your doctors if you don’t have your own blood pressure device.
you Will be OK.
I also have a low heart rate and suffer with palpitations. My low heart rate is one of the reasons I don’t like to take beta blockers as they tend to slow the heart. When I have been to the Drs and hospital nobody seems too concerned about it, so I try not to worry about it.
