Lower back ache and groin/testicle ache!

Hi all, I am 6 weeks post LTHR 32 yrs old and the last few days I have woke up with lower back ache and left grpin/testicle pain. It comes in waves. Has any experienced this and how long does it last?

Kind regards

Mike

Ni Mike.

I am getting the lower back pain / groiin pain and only started about a week ago. I am at six weekspost op also. I have put it down to everything settling down and the internal brusing plus using mucsles you may not have used for a while. If you are worried at all go see your consultant. That is what they are there for. I hope it won't last too long for you.

Thanks for the reply Hailea, Just a bit worried as its my testicle. I think I will see GP to make sure it's nothing else. Just really scared as Ive just lost my Dad to Lung cancer. 😢

Mike

Yes If I was a guy I think I would be worried too. More so if a close member of the family had cancer. At least you are sencable and not like most guys who just let it go till it is too late. I hope it is nothing Michael. But yes get it checked out asap.

hi mike - I agree with hailea - get it checked asap - I am 10 weeks post op and also have these back spasms and groin pain - I was in a really bad shape prior to surgery though and muscles are so weak - poor things have to work and I am not always so patient .... good luck and hopefully we'll see you back with "All clear" - big hug

Mike

I'm just approaching 6 weeks in Monday.

I have tight back muscle that need stretching and a little groin pain but it's not pain pain like before the op. This I think is the foreign addition to my leg!! I think it's all about the settling in and bedding down.

I have felt great over the last couple of weeks but am conscious that I might be over confident and trying to do too much perhaps??

As for the testicle pain I would be getting back to the Dr as quick as possible!

Hope it's all ok

Sorry just to add Michael. It may be better to go see your consultant rather than your GP. If there is something that needs checking out your consultant can get you checked out a lot quicker than your GP. Your GP may refer you to the hpspital but if your consultant does it it will be far quicker.

Thank you for all your replies, I have an appointment with my consultant on 9th June. That's the earliest he can see me 😯 Going to be a nervous couple of weeks.

Mike

Hi Mike I know you will be worried but you will be fine. Think on the positive side. It is only a week away so it is still good that he can see you so quickly. I am glad it is your consultant you are seeing and not your GP. At least if there is a problem he can get you sorted quicker. But do not dwell on it if you can help it try and keep yourself occupied.

I will be 8 weeks post op by then and I am seeing my consultant on the Monday ( 8th ) I am having problems of my own so I know how worried you must be, I really do hope it is nothing but better to sort it early if it is.  I am thinking of you Mike. I know it can be scary for sure.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I hope everything goes ok with you too.

Kind regards

Mike

Hi Micheal5:

See my last posts for other causes of pain in the area.  I hope that they can give some insight to you if the other causes people are mentioning turn out not to be the cause.  I hope that it is one of the easier fixes for you.
