Lower back/Flank pain

For the past week, I've had a dull, achy, cramp like pain with sharp twinges on and off in my lower back to kidney area. At first it was bearable and able to settle with taking over the counter paracetamol. However, the last 2 days, it has caused me so much pain that I am unable to move much or at least without being in agony and I am walking bent over to relieve some of the pain. The pain is also making me feel sick, especially if any pressure is applied on either my stomach or back in the area that the pain is coming from. I have also noticed that my stools are either extremely dark to black in colour, and (sorry for tmi) I also noticed yesterday evening there was a black bean like thing on the toilet paper.. I am unsure if this is related, but the pain seems to have drastically increased since then. It's a weekend so only out of hours GP is available, I am in agony but don't want to waste their time either, so unsure what to do.

Sorry for tmi and thanks in advance for any opinions on what this could be.

Call the Doctor now! All the best

I agree with Wayne!  Black stools indicate bleeding!  Don't wait!  Keep us posted!

Good luck!

I'd go to your local A&E could be UTI that's why we pay for the NHS
