Hi ive been on 20mg of paroxetine/ paxil for 6 months and its really helped with my anxiety but i cannot climax and this is really bothering me so my dr advised me to lower my dosage to 10mg. It has been one week on 10 and the sexual side effects have decreased so thats good but i am getting more anxious feelings and lower energy than usual. This is bearable but i just wonder if anyone else has lowered dosage and managed to stay on the lower dose. Is 10mg enough?

SSRIs are known sex drive killers. The same thing happens to me. It is almost impossible for me to orgasm on 10 mgs of lexapro so I now take only 5 mgs. I can climax on 5 mgs but reaching Orgasm is still a lot harder than if I was taking nothing. It is a trade-off I suppose. I also feel better on a higher dose but the higher dose prevents me from having orgasms.
