LS and tattoos

I have four tattoos and have wanted a few more but now I don't know if I should.  Does anyone else on here have any?  I am thinking this might not be a good idea since I have been diagnosed with LS.  I have read a few articles that some people think tattoos are linked to autoimmune disease.  I am just wondering now if you ladies have any.  Thanks!

I have three autoimmune diseases, and I don't have any tattoos, so from my viewpoint I doubt that they are linked.  No one knows for sure what triggers an autoimmune disease.   The only thing I would say is that LS is a skin condition and, therefore, it is probably wise not to have any more.

I have no tattoos.  Still have auto immune diseases. Though I think it might be a good idea to be nice to your skin and avoid more tattoos.  Just in case.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing and I should probably not cause any more harm. It is sad that my careless days are at an end already.

Oh, there are lots of creative ways to throw caution to the wind!

However, in this case... look up the Koebner effect. Our skin is one very large organ, so if you prick it repeatedly in one area, it's not too much of a stretch to imagine it irritating the LS affected areas. I had acupuncture for a psoriasis flare many years ago. Turned out it was keeping me in a vicious cycle of relief-and-flare.
