Hi,
does anyone know of a GYN that deals with LS?
I am so much pain that I am in tears when I have to
urinate!
I have the Clob. ointment but it thins the skin.
Thanks

Hi Jana, where are you located? I have a great specialist but I am in the USA and in Connecticut .
Look to see if you have a Vulva Clinic in your area, but I am in Ottawa, Canada. It's part of the Women's Health Center at the Riverside Hospital. They might have one in your area. I would google Vulva Clinic and then your area. For the clob, if you apply only a pea-size of the clob, there shouldn't be any problem. It is the most effective way found today to alleviate the symptoms of LS, unless someone else here knows of other solutions.
Somehow my message didn't 'stick'. I'll try again.
I hope your doctor told you to use the smallest amount. More clob is not better.
Next to that - I rinsed after every bathroom visit with warm water in which three pinches of baking soda. Somehow it helped the healing. Debbed dry and applied a small amount of emu oil, later coconut oil. Perhaps try it?
I am in the Hudson Valley
not too far from CT.
What area of CT?
Thank you so much!
I will try anything at this point
Dear Janna,
the office I go to is in South Windsor ct and I know she has one in West Hartford Ct both are kind of in the middle of the state. Maybe if that is to far, if you call one of her offices they can give you names of specialists closer to you. Not sure moderator will let me give you the name of doc but if not I will send you a private reply. Her name is Dr. Gayle Harris. You can look her up online to get more info on her. She has been very good and has gotten my LS under control and kept it stable for more then three years now.
Hi Janna, now isn't the time to worry about thinning of the skin. It sounds like you are in pain and flaring and the Clob cream will help with that. In the meantime look for a Vulva clinic or ring around for either a gynecologist or dermatologist asking in advance if they are familiar with LS. Once you have got your LS under control you can look at alternative methods to keep it under control rather than using the Clob all the time.
Thank you very much I will start calling tomorrow.
Today was the worst almost went to Emergency room the pain was that bad.
i have been dealing with this for 5 years already! Ugh
Janna you didn’t mention where you live. Perhaps someone can better help you
I noticed that many women who use clob also use a moisturizer as well. My doctor gave me zinc o fax to use as a barrier but mostly I apply Vaseline
Still fighting the itch and burn.
Morning, I am not far from CT. Actually I have surgeon in CT.
Would love the name of the doctor you use.
this is the worst flare up yet.
thanks so much
Janna
I sent you a private message with name and number of my specialist. I don't think the moderator on this site would have let it go thru in this forum. Please let me know if you receive it.
