So I've had anal fissures and proctalgia for a few years now. It's mostly healed over but one thing I've noticed is there an internal, long lump (2 inches long) on the right side. It seems to exacerbate the condition; and not part of the fissure itself. It's not a hemorrhoid, which I get sometimes on the left side. Any ideas what this could be, and anyway to resolve it?
To clarify the lump is right on the inside of the anus. Maybe it’s a muscle or something else?
