Hi everyone as the title says... I'm extremely worried at the moment as I've been feeling around and on the right side of my groin I can feel a hard lump which seems fixed and is painless and I'm just worried that these are red flag signs. I've been so anxious this past year with my health just look at my profile. I'm currently on medication for my anxiety too (citalopram) . But I dunno if this means out, as I recall I felt this lump months ago maybe around November/December and it hasn't changed one bit????
Some lumps in the groin area are caused by a cyst, which is a fluid filled lump and harmless. Or swollen gland caused by a cold or other virus, or even stress,
. I have had those several times and they just went away by themselves .
It's still always good to follow up with your doctor just to have it checked out.
don't worry too much about it just have it looked at by your doctor. Many people get swollen glands. Have a good night
I used to get bad health anxiety, convinced I was doomed time and time again, but that was in the past. Now I don't care if I'm doomed! Heh. But in terms of this lump you're feeling, might pay to go and see the doctor just to put your mind at ease because even though I myself am not a doctor, I'll put money on the fact that the lump you have is completely harmless. But just go and see the doctor. It'll be okay.
Thanks for the reply both of you, I must say ... I cut my upper thigh open last week right across would a lymph node go like that though, hard immovable and painless??
Hi kieran1993. I'm not exactly sure what you mean but whatever the case the best bet would be, imo, to go and see the doctor. They will answer all of your questions and take a look at that cut you just mentioned. Doctor.
