Lung Function

Hi everyone.

Bare in mind I have got over a head cold 3 weeks ago...now how long should it be before I speak to my GP about the following;

wheezing, shallow breath's, persistent cough.

Do you guys have any idea, that may help ?

Always ask your GP whenever you feel ill.  That is what doctors are for!  You don't have to go to A and E, but do go to your GP and ask for a specialist if you need one.  After all, your taxes pay for your medical treatment.  You are entitled to help.  Don't hesitate .

Thanks for your help neville93106. But as I see my GP regular because of diabetic neuropathy I do try to avoid seeing him regarding other matters if I can and look for alternative suggestions. But will give it some thought, as I will be seeing the nurse on the 16th for my next diabetic evaluation.

If he has been following you closely it should be easier for him to make a diagnosis.

good luck.

The thing is neville93106, my GP has not really been looking at my lung function - only at my diabetes. But on the 16th I will mention it to the nurse.

Thanks for your feedback regarding this matter.

One thing I forgot to mention is that, although I have these symptoms I'm not have or showing signs of any distress or discomfort. I suppose that is probably why I have not told or made a GP appointment to chase it up. This is why I tend to avoid seeing him, as I am a the surgery regarding my diabetes. Also I have also had surgery on my right ankle to have corrected (cavovarus foot corrective surgery).

So I must apologies for not including this information which may have help with your advice.
