lupus and sickness

i was diagnosed with lupus 4yrs ago, i suffer with the normal probs, red hot face, itch loads, hair loss, dizziness, headaches, small joints hurt but not all the time, and the brain gets confussed. Does anyone get bouts af sickness and diarriah. since my diagnosis i've had this 5 times lasts 7 hrs or so, loose anything from 1/2 to a stone in wieght and feel useless for 2 days after. Its bloody horrible. I've had cameras put up and down, scans but nothing shows up. Is there anyone like me.

Could it be medication? As I'm on Azathioprine, which makes me fell really sick at times although not as severe as in your case, iv been advised to take my meds early evening as side effects are over night when I'm SUPPOSE  to be sleeping, hope you feel better soon,

I have been diagnosed 8 years now and suffered terrible at the start the plaquenel calmed it down I lost a couple of stone I now still get occasional bouts of diariah. Are you taking plaquenel.

Hi Buster

I think Marion has the right idea as having it for 13 years I also started taking medication in the evenings and tend to have no appetite but yes pick uo Flu and colds and constant headaches and Yes!! the red face although just tell all it is LUPUS now and they leave you alone as nobody has a clue what it is and as long as it is not infectious to them they are not interested.

As I said before google sevenpointfive I have tried it and it does work.

Everything day to day and the confusion, sometimes as i say a good excuse to run away for awile.

Be strong and beat it!!!

All the best, Pete

Hi Marion I'm not on anly meds, used to take Plaquinil but they made feel shakey and pulpatations, use Steroid cream if itch madly and just been given a liquid steroid for the scalp. And Anti infamatories for the joints when there bad. I been fish on the net and found Lupus Vascilitus, think thats right it causes sickness end diarhea, cant spell that word, to do with the blood vessels in the intestines and stomach.

Hi Janice, as i've just told Marion on no meds

Hi Pete thanks for your support, LOL ye they look at you as tho your mad. Dreading having to put the heating on as the slightest warm up makes you fry dont it. Then you try and cool down and next thing got the shivers. ITS MAD.

I take lamotrigine for itching have been told to take 2 and 3 if I need to, they do work for me, takes about 10 mins to take effect, everyone with lupus is so different, this site is useful and you realise your not alone, good luck.

you to love, thats worth a go
