Lymes is a spirochete bacteria, (like SYPHILIS ). YOU CAN FREEZE IT ..you can autoclave it AND YOU WON'T KILL IT.... it HARBORS in the spinal column and in the BRAIN....Amoxicillin is a man made drug..(artificial penicillin) it CAN NOT CROSS THE SPINAL COLUMN so it DOES NOT get to the brain at all..... so the spirokeets live in the spinal fluid and in the brain unmolested..... you .feel better for a while .. then a RELAPSE!.. as the "hidden" spirokeets reinfest the rest of the body again.... what KILLS LYMES is PENICILLIN -K (Penicillin POTASSIUM..) it is a purple liquid..they mix it for you..it is a LIVING PENICILLIN taken for 3 weeks.. ( I personally feel the higher the dose the better as long as it is tolerated)... demand it throw a FIT do what you have to do to get it... if no Doctor will help you...they sell penn-K pills on EBAY pharmacy grade.. worth a try... find a Lymes Specialist ... in later stages of lymes..PROBIOTICS can boost your immune system and help kick it...RESEARCH PROBIOTICS .. DO NOT use the steroids they can KILL YOU they turn OFF the immune system.. Good luck and God bless
Did your doctor prescribe this for you? Can you share any links to more info about this drug. I've just been diagnosed with Lyme so am looking at all options.
Thanks
My husbands was diagnosed with Lymes last June, we caught it after 1 month he had 14 days of antibiotics but after 3 days he had symptoms again, we demanded more doxyclycline and he had 30 days at 400mg a day, we wanted to whack it but alas 8 months back again, he has just finished 21 days of 200 mg doxycycline, this penicillin k sounds good, how likely are the doctors to give this out? We had a job last time to get antibiotics,
I was prescribed steroids as told reactive arthritis, still on 9 mths later although weaning off. Am convinced I have lyme and two tests neg because of steroids. Every time reduced steroids previously got flare of symptoms but think it was my own immune system trying to kick in. Had two weeks off and was given amoxicillin for ? Urine infection and ended up in AE with palpitations, fainting. I now believe this was herx reaction. Persuaded GP to treat with doxycycline and improving but rheumatologist still won't consider. I should add all started after holiday in highlands where got nasty bite and rash to leg, although admittedly did not witness tick. Tis an ongoing battle, feel like trying to get out of big black hole! Steroids have compounded problem!
