Consultant has said I have cancer cells in a lymph node but has left me 5 weeks before I get an appointment with him. I am very worried that in 5 weeks it could have spread. Anyone had similar?
First of all what kind of cancer? Becasue if its in the lymph nodes it already spread. But if its lymphoma then that cancer starts in the lymph nodes

Please try to be assured by your consultants approach. My own small experience of cancer showed me the professionalism of the cancer teams at work.
They would not put you in any danger, if they feel leaving you for 5 weeks is okay then try to collect your thoughts for the future, rather than the present. You may, or may not, have a small battle ahead but you will be helped and monitored the whole way.
