I have read about Maca and still have no idea what type of relief it is for or how much of it I should take.
Also, pain in joints, knees especially. Dr. says Arthritis in knees, but does that mean All of my joints that hurt have arthritis? I hurt all over. I take strong pain meds, sometimes I can take 3 times the dose and still hurt. What do the rest of you ladies do?

I saw my gp as I was fatigued all the time
I asked about my menopause as I'd had hysterectomy in 1990 n no supplements blood test shown my FSH was high n I've commenced in low dose of HRT I've still got the knee pain some days worse than others I've got an opd tomorrow to see if I need an orthoroscopy as this pain isn't normal to go on for so long I saw a consultant in march after having an MRI THAT shows dengenerative changes & arthritis but if the pain continued he be happy take a look inside well I'm beginning to think it needs looking at but the pain is in both so not sure if they will do both or not, due to the pain I really can't be bothered to do or go anywhere even to wash a cup is an ordeal and had a heated discussion this morning with my hubby as he said he been the 1 doing everything for the last 5mnths I've done house work as n when I've felt fit enough and this has really hurt me him saying HE done it all well when he gets home from work this house will have been blitzed from top to bottom even if it kills me n I'm in agony tomorrow
Like you I'm taking all kinds if pain relief if either or tramadol co codamol diazepam ibuprofen n use a cream of capcian some work some don't I've even paid £30 for glucosamine with condroityne as consultant recommended that.
I bought some knee supports off the internet they seem to help but when in bed the pain is terrible
Knees ache calf's ache thighs ache then all at some point have burning sensation I Havnt had a full night sleep since December every hour or so I'm awake
Hope you feel better soon I hoping that my HRT will kick in soon n help with all the aches/pains n low mood swings n emotions

I don't know anything about Maca because I am on an antidepressant and ativan and a thyroid pill and a diabetes pill and vit d3 and a multivitamin and a blood pressure pill so I do not use any HRTs or Maca for my symptoms.
You should talk to your doctor about Maca and see if he adivises you to use it before using it because it could cause side effects and you do not want to have any side effects. Thats all I can say to you.
