Major health anxiety. My symptoms are scaring me. Need some reassurance!

It's been a while since I've been on here but I'm at my wits end. I have recently been very focused on melanoma due to changes in my moles and a little bit of a burning sensation in one on my face. It feels a little more raises and rough. I also have some large ones on my back and under my arm. It is freaking me out that I've had underarm pain and pain across my collar bone for the last year... I keep getting told that it's muscle pain. I'm convinced it's skin cancer that has spread to my lymph nodes. I am waiting an appointment to get my moles checked but I am going through a serious state of panic.

On top of all of this, I've had recurring UTIs and kidney infections, along with pains in my tummy, ribs, chest, shoulders, neck and head. Not to mention bleeding in between periods and dizziness.

I've had my bladder checked, bloods checked, kidneys checked all within the last 6 months.

I am done in. I am exhausted with it all. I am currently doing CBT to try and help my state of mind but I can't help but think something is wrong as I NEVER feel well these days! Help!

Also have had my ovaries checked...

Hi. I too suffer with health anxiety and it is very exhausting. I have recurrent UTIs like you, and also have had a recurrent infection in my colon, which worries me even further all the time. My doctor has assured me I'm healthy but I always think we've missed something. We have to try to learn and put faith in these professionals, but it is very hard.

Body pain is a common physical symptom of anxiety/stress, and clearly you are very worried about your health. With health anxiety it is like one big cycle - we feel physical symptoms from anxiety, become convinced it is something else, then make ourselves even more anxious causing more or worsening symptoms. Hopefully getting your moles checked out will help to reassure you that you are okay. I get lots of random body aches/pains, headaches, chest tightness, etc. I am constantly told it is my anxiety. Try to relax and remind yourself that it is much more probable you are suffering from symptoms of anxiety rather than something being seriously wrong with you.

Good that you're going to therapy. Maybe try yoga/meditation to feel more in touch with both your mind and your body. Exercising also helps me a lot. Try your best to relax and reassure yourself that your body is just responding to stress (which by the way can also mess up your menstrual cycle.) Best of luck to you, and remember you are not alone in this. xx

CBT will give you coping skills to help with coming to terms with your panic and stress attacks. One thing however you need to understand you will have to follow any instructions given. You will also need to eventually need to help yourself and gain confidence and comfortable in your own skin

You do nt mention results of the tests arranged for you, were the results negative and did not show anything other than your UTIs and kidney infection. Are these problems sexual health ?
