Major Panic Attack

i was suffering symptoms of a panic attack that only gotten more severe i went to the er 5 seperate times for panic related issues and was discharged each time i feel the hospital staff did a poor job and did not admit me before my last severe panic attack i was hyperventalating non stop for more than an hour and felt as if i was out of oxygen i was finally admitted the next day after i have had constant shortness of breath and have yet to fully breathe normally sometimes my breathing is better and worse at times where i have to exhesively yawn multiple times to catch my breath is it possible that after that episode my brain has forgotten how to breathe normally? i just dont want this issue to linger for years like some of the users on this forum who has successfully beat this issue? we need some positivity in here for everyone that has dealt with this but has failed to receive the proper medical help

I’m also suffering this, feels. like can’t. breathe probably when I need to go out,I don’t go as I’m scared I’m going to faint, I need. to get over this as Im wasting my life and I feel ill all the. time,I need help. badly as it effects. everything I do,

good luck i hope you get better

anyone out there that has improved with anything?

anyone out there that has got through this situation?

Hello, i been suffering with this for 2 years now. can’t say that it has gone away but it gets easier to work it after a while. was on meds for a while but stopped as it was giving bad side effect such as insomnia

im sorry to hear that i hope it goes away for you.

what brought it on for you and what is it like for you daily are you?

are you constantly thinking about your breath and cant fully take a deep breath?

Well the truth is that it will probably never go away completely. It happened to me while i was in work during a meeting, i felt like i was trapped and that i had no way out. since then i always get anxious in places where i feel like i have to stay and there is no way out, for eg. in barbers getting a hair cut you must be still and cannot move when you want to. I get chest pain and feel like its hard to breathe.

As per breathing its one of the things that you will pay allot of attention to due to this disorder, for me i always try to distract my self to prevent it for going on too long. When it happens you should change your location go to a different room or start doing something, anything just to get your mind off things.

You cannot die from this, even when you feel like it. Its your mind and body trying to do something called Fight or Flight Response.

it is nearly impossible to explain to someone who does not have it and they will never be able to understand it fully, everyone has their own unique anxiety way.

You should google some relaxing apps on your phone there are a few out there that really work - and in my opinion its where you should start.

I was taking meds for 1 year for panic attacks and there were allot of bad side effects and the feeling of having to take them every single day made me more anxious so i decided not to take them anymore and try to find a way my self.

Hope this helps, keep us updated.

yeah it is horrible and depressing at the same time.

it seems like not that many people suffer from this issue and doctors cant really do much for this

i dont really feel anxious thats the weird part other than my severe panic attack that took my breathing out of whack but i have difficulty with my breathing that varies through out the day
