Hello, Just trying to get some feedback here. Does anyone who drinks coffee become manic a short while after, while taking any antidepressants, especially ? Or is this a typical caffeine effect? Your thoughts will be appreciated as I am studying this effect.
hi, some antidepressants seem to interact with caffeine but i dont believe sertraline is a particular med which falls into that category (or if it does, i expect rare/handful of cases only)
however there is an antidepressant called mirtazapine though, and that one seems to interact with caffeine apparantly more than other antidepressants
Coffee raises your cortisol level (your stress hormone)
I wouldn't suggest any caffeine if this is the effect you are getting.
I'm betting also you carry some weight around your mid section?? This is the haywire cortisol effect.
You needs to stabilise your blood sugar my upping your protein in your diet and stay away from caffeine.
Only way to get well in a balanced diet and exercise
Hi sparrow, ive taken mirtazapine in the past and must say didn't get on with it at all, and the withdrawals were outrageous. I think the caffeine effect may just be a personal thing ☺
Hi miss bee, how very interesting. I think I maybe a little sensitive to these kind of stimulant's. Saying that, it's not a bad thing as it makes me more vital. As for weight I'm up and down, its a seasonal thing☺
