Manipulation under antheasia

What has been your experience with manioukation under anthesia? Thanks.

Hi Jen.  I was stuck around 85 degrees and got to about 100.  I've had multiple surgeries (6) on this same knee due to a car accident, so nothing has been simple with this healing process.  I was scared to death to have it done & it wasn;t a big deal.  You will be really sore for a week & daily PT is inconvenient, but it was well worth it for me.  I'm probably around 105 now & I am 6 months post op.  What is your bend?

I had bilateral TKR January 20th and manual manipulation on both May 17. The surgeon took a picture of both knees bent to around 130. I could tell in recovery that there was improvement.  I wanted to walk around the hospital because I finally felt normal.  That night I was a little sore but less than before at bedtime.   I started PT the next day and we measured.  I was nowhere near 130 bend but about 117.  I can almost straighten one of my knees and the other was close behind.  I wish I had had the manipulation sooner.

Hi jen

I under went one 6 weeks ago as the bend was so bad and my life was miserable. I found it to be fantastic. I woke up and couldn't help myself bend the knee straight away. The recovery team in the hospital we're like look at you go. I had a fair bit of swelling but walked out of hospital. Hope this helps
