any ideas what this mark is. No pain or irritation coming from it just appeared a couple of days ago, i’m sexually active with girlfriend and use a condom most of the time however had sex in the hot tub last week without using one could this be a factor?
I could understand if you don’t usually use condoms, then did on this occasion. Unless the water was really hot at any time that should not be an issue.
Is there any way you could have damaged the skin, but maybe had not realised it at the time?
Otherwise, I would play a waiting game and see if it develops …

I think the condition you have is lichen planus affecting the glans penis. Check DermnetNZ for a comprehensive description. Don’t get too worried about ‘complications’ listed in the description; the vast majority of cases of LP are not usually associated with any underlying condition and it can often resolve if left untreated. You should see a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis and maybe try a moderate strength steroid like Eumovate ointment as it’s affecting just a small area.
I’ve highlighted what I think shows the typical fine “lacy” appearance of part of the lesion. The photo isn’t high enough resolution to identify another characteristic, Wickham’s striae.
