i’m LEANING towards HSV, i’d say 55% likelihood that it is. Mostly because i’m wondering how it first began. Were these spots ever blisters, ulcers, etc. before they became scabs? this would be the healing stage of the sores if it was. in addition, the virus can lay dormant for years after initial infection. some people never ever have symptoms in their lifetime.
im sure it is too.. the one inbetween labia was particularly painful and it weeped while healing. barely anything but i was wearing panty liners to protect my pants and there was spots of yellow.. plus it was itchy when they first appeared so i thought i had cut myself. now i realise itching is an early sign. i assume i must have had this for at least 9-10 years with no symptoms as i have only been with my husband since then. im scared. i assume we cant have sex without condoms or he is at risk
you will be ok think about it! if you’ve had this as long as you’ve been with your husband, then nothing with your sex life will change just because you now know you have it. both of you should get blood tested for HSV, you may both have had it for a long time and it remained dormant in your systems. as for now, abstain from sex until the sores heal. in addition, talk to your doctor about valacyclovir and use condoms until it is confirmed either of you have it.
herpes is truly not the end of the world. i wish u the best.
I had a swab taken and have been informed it is HSV1.. the nurse said i must have caught it from s coldsore, transmitted via oral sex. i just feel so confused… no previous partners have coldsores as far as i know and certainly ive never witnissed an outbreak?
i know its dramatic but i feel awful about it - i have been too scared to tell my husband today that my result is back
