Hello! I’ve posted a couple of other times but not many people really apply back... but here goes another one haha.. I’m 25 male and having like weird pressure right side going on for 5 months by jaw/head/forehead/temple and even ear and nose, a lot of pressure makes me feel out of it sometimes. Went to a bunch different docs such as Neauro, ENT, Primary, ER, Dentist.. have had MRI, CT, Chest XRay, EEG, Like 6 different blood tests, Multiple EKGS.. Everything was normal. Think it’s dental maybe? When I move jaw forward it hurts a little and back of ear on the jaw too.. I still have 3 wisdoms in and getting them out next week..their all out but one is like not as out as the others and I have huge roots... can anyone help? Or put their opinion in haha.. thank you
Hi there, I've got mid facial pain syndrome which was diagnosed 3 years ago. I had a C. T scan, E. N. T appointments both N.H.S and paid to go private ! The only symptom we don't share is jaw pain. I'm currently off work, after having a knock to my nose. Which has caused this to flare up. Let me know if you want me to go through my medication or symptoms in detail.
Yes, I'd say a dentist visit is in order at this point. By the way, I notice, too, not a lot of responses about dental issues here. The cataract conversations are quite lively, however.
I would look into TMD / TMJ. Don't go to a regular dentist that just dabbles in TMJ. Find a highly trained dentist... neuromuscular dentists or orofacial pain dentists are a good starting point. If you go to the Las Vegas Dental Institute they have a physician finder for dentists that have completed advanced training in neuromuscular dentistry.
My TMJ appointment took 3 hours of taking notes, measurements, pushing and poking to make the diagnosis. Over 90% of TMJ cases are caused by muscular issues. I feel a lot of pain/pressure on the right side of my face. The TMJ also causes sinus drainage behind my nose, clogged ears, neck pain and shoulder pain.
