Meal ideas please - what sort of things do you eat?

I'm due to start Orlistat tomorrow and went shopping tonight in preparation. Everything I bought was less than 5g per 100g but most are much less so am struggling to see how I can make each meal 12g of fat.

As an example, my planned breakfast is a 45g bowl of shreddies with 125ml of semi skimmed milk - that's only 2.9g of fat yet the 'aim' is 12g.

What sorts of things is evryone having for breakfast/lunch/dinner?

Buy 'BBC good food101 low fat feasts', it's about £5 but is packed with low fat meals.

I have to make up the fat sometimes so I add cheese. The ready sliced Edam gives you a breakdown per slice so it's easy to add it in.

hi im just starting out on this adventure too, this is my 3rd day, so far no signs of any effects at all so this morning i decided to be braver and had a round of toast with peanut butter on, its 16g of fat per 2 tsp. 2 hours later and still no rush to the loo so who knows, but the peanut butter should keep me going till lunch with no need to nibble.

i think its all trial and error till we work out what suits our bodies and the medication but i know in the end we will all find that happy place we crave (any where apart from the PLUS section) good luck xxx

Thanks for the replies, will get the BBC book as a starting point smile

Glitter Gal is right,

it is all trial and error. I also find it difficult to increase the fats so I guess i will have to put up with a slower weight loss. But if I keep the fats down and don't supplement them with sugar and carbs I should still lose.
