I have been moved from meberverine sr to mebeverine. Can I take it and buscopan at the same time or is it one or the other
I wouldn’t take Mebeverine at all; it’s extremely harsh on the stomach.Stick to Buscopan only; it’s far milder and much better at dealing with the pain. Both these medications work differently. I am assuming Mebeverine SR is the same as Mebeverine? I have never heard of the SR type.
I was put on Mebeverine and had to come off it within four days and throw them in the bin. It did nothing for the pain, gave me indigestion, the like of which I have never experienced before, and made me even more constipated than I was. It is designed for IBS D; that’s why they bung you up. My doctor knew I was constipated but gave me medication that made it worse. She obviously didn’t listen. As soon as I was off them, I felt immediately better. Within a few seconds of swallowing Mebeverine, it felt as if I had swallowed a pebble and that was after only one dose!
hi lotsofpain, i would never take that filth, it makes me feel worse, but if you’ve been given it then you try it, the chemist are your best port of call, they will know what you can take and what works best.
you can take mebeverane or buscopan, not both.
