Hello, has any one noticed that they developed nurapathy after starting medformin? Think I’m allergic

I would be very surprised if you developed neuropathy because you stated Metformin.

I have been on this medication for many years without experiencing any side effects. From what I have read about Metformin, it has been around for a very long time and has been proven to be one of the safest medication.

One of the effects of diabetes is neuropathy and Metformin helps with diabetes, so I would find it very surprising that it was the cause, but then I am not a doctor.

Been using Metformin for 8 years now without any issues. I strongly suggest that you visit your doc and get the problem addressed by somebody in the medical profession.

Neuropathy has nothing to do with metformin, it is a known complication of diabetes. If your diabetes is not well-controlled then you are more likely to develop it. Have you definitely been told you have neuropathy? What makes you think you are allergic - neuropathy is never a result of an allergy.

Dear June, first of all it is Metformin not Medformin and it is quite strange that it has adverse effects like neuropathy as you mentioned. i didn't heard that. In most of the cases, it is given to manage the type 2 diabetes. We should know about Diabetes medications – drugs at glance.

Hi June62506, neuropathy is an unfortunate side effect of this horrible disease rather than a side effect of the Metformin drug ( I think) and I also feel that your best course of action is to discuss the problem with somebody in the medical profession and ideally your own doctor.

Not sure what nurapathy is I will look it up on the internet.

Been on metformin for a couple of years. No problems with them.
