does anybody have any experience of hyroxyzine?been given this today by docs to help me sleep,also i have taken diazepam this morning so am i ok to take the hydroxyzine at bedtime today?i forgot to ask the doc x

Hi Sarah,

I am not a doctor, but I have been on both hydroxyzine and diazepam simultaneously for over a year, also to help me sleep.

I am a nurse, though, and I am aware that information about medications should not be handed out to other people on this site.

Your doctor must know that you're on both. If it's any help, I know others who are on the same combination.

Hi Tess

This forum has been my lifeline since December when my anxiety started even though I have had depression for 17 years.

But one thing that gets me angry is people giving out advice on medication unless you are qualified this should not happen.

Over in the mirtazapine forum they go on about grinding the tablets then putting them into syringes its madness.

The modirator on this site pulls your message for silly things but when it comes to meds the totally ignore it

So thank you Tess for being the voice of reason

Hi Lynne,

I've noticed that it's a bit random as to which messages get pulled.

Some of mine have been so innocuous that I'm left totally bewildered.

I'm so sorry you're having a rough time at the moment. I have been addicted to benzos for forty years and am now in treatment. I certainly understand and empathise with anybody who has long-standing anxiety.

I must go to the mrtazapine forum - it sounds bonkers!

Worry not, Sarah. Hydroxyzine and diazepam have been on my med list for a good long while and I know other people who are on both.
