Meeting up?

Hi all

Well ive been thinking all day and decided to write this tonight to see what other people think and feel.

My question is: Is there anyone in my local area Milton Keynes or surrounding area who would like to meet for a coffee ??? and maybe friendship will be made too

Hi Denise I think it is a good idea, but sadly we are too far away as we live in Oldham

Hi Dee,

I'd meet up if I lived near Milton Keynes, but unfortunately I don't!It would be good to compare notes over a coffee.

Haha - me too but I'm in Scotland😒

Im in Milton Keynes where are you?xx

Hi Denise,I live in Dunstable and regularly visit MK as my son lives there.

At present I am away in Cyprus until July 13th.but would love to meet you at some later date.

My situation is that I have OA and walk badly, unable to stand upright etc. Friends and relatives are all pushing me to seek a THR,however I am a devout coward and trying every which way to avoid surgery.

I have been following this excellent site for a long time, and it seems that many people have experience of severe pain, and need the surgery. For myself the pain is not too bad,and something I can live with.

What I have done is see a physio-therapist who has given me exercises to do and here in Cyprus I am following that regime as well as lots of swimming.

I swim about a mile and a half daily and try to watch my diet too.

So far there is no obvious improvement but I believe It takes 3 months exercise to strengthen the muscles. So hoping!

The physio said that even if I ultimately need a THR the improved fitness will help with recovery.

Just wanted to explain my position so you know that I am not a recovering hip patient, but if you would like to meet that would be great, after all it is good to make new friends!

Best wishes for your recovery

Joy
