Melatonin

I have sleep phobia.  Heart pounds when I lay down to sleep. Tried antidepressants, trying hypnotherapy, sleeping tablets, cbt. Still just as bad as ever. Would melatonin help

People use melatonin when they have insomnia -- trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. They also take it for other sleep problems. This could include something called delayed sleep phase disorder. If you have that, falling asleep before 2 a.m. is tough. So is getting up in the morning.

I have sleep phobia too and hypnotic jerks and they interact. I am sorry to hear you are struggling but you are not alone.  I have been given 2mgs of Valium which I am not happy about. I am so down about all this.
