recently ive been started on 60 mg of buspar and 30 mg of prozac and its like my memory aint as good like i forget stuff could this be a Side effect?
in some people those medications are known to affect concentration and or memory. you can talk to your doctor about this and your particular situation.you haven’t been on these very long so I’m sure the affect isn’t too strong at this point. you’ll be OK., Maybe a change in medication if this continues. Everything " anti", is bad for the brain and can give neurological disease in future. Do research and you will see, now there are a couple that dont effect the brain as much, but you need to research it. I would stick with, 5htp, Sam-e, Saint John’s wart and gaba., a good multivitamin, D3 with K, and a good Omega3 and get rid of all junk food… No processed vegetable oils or food, sugar, high carbohydrate foods etc..Do research, trust me it will blow you away. And look for holistic/functional doctor..All natural alternatives that actually work.Also, 60 minutes of excercise a day at least 6 times a week.
The Buspar can cause memory loss if you misuse it. If you forget and take too many pills or your dosage is too high. Buspar is a damn strong medicine and if not taken correctly can have strong side effects. I would consult with your doctor to find out if you are taking it correctly or what you are doing wrong. Prozac does not cause memory loss, so it had to be the Buspar.
Hi Zach, Yes, both of these medications can cause side effects, including memory loss, esp. if they are NEW medications…there are long lists of side effects for these types of meds and everyone reacts differently…ask your Dr if the dosage of one or both can be reduced(don’t quit or reduce yourself)& maybe gradually increase the dosage…sometimes these side effects can go away once you have taken them awhile…medication should be discussed with your Dr or Pharmacist…Good Luck & BEST WISHES:wedding:
