Does anyone have experience of using a Meniett device for Meniere's disease? Has it helped with any of the symptoms? The specialist has suggested I try one as nothing else seems to help with the symptoms. Problem is that it isn'the supported by the NHS and you have to buy it at a cost of £1800. There is something else on the market called a P100 made by ENTTEX but a hand operated device which does a similar thing but at a fraction of the cost. Anyone used one? I saw it on Ed Cheung's YouTube videos about Meniere's.
Hi dizzysand, I've never tried the meniet device, I've heard of it but so far the only treatment I've had is Grommetts then when that didn't work I had Gentimiacin injections in my ears. That worked really well for just over a year now I'm gradually getting the symptoms back. So far I haven't vomited but just lots and lots of spins. I think, for me the Meniet device would be too expensive. On the other hand though when I was at my height of an attack last year it might have been a different story
I was only speaking with someone else that has Menieres disease the other night, who did in fact proceed with the Enttex P100 and has had an amazing result. That was six months ago and he has been fine ever since. I believe the whole procedure cost around $180. (NZ). I am booked in to have grommets at the end of this month but will ask the specialist about the Enttex P100 also.
I would also be interested to hear from others that may have used the Meniett device.
Very interesting indeed. Do you know how many times a day this person uses the p100 and for how long? Thanks.
He said around 2 - 3 times per day, but hasn't used it for a while now.
Ok thanks for the info.

I just came upon this post inquiring about the Meniett device. I had my first Menieres episode in November 2008 and was just stunned by the diagnosis shortly thereafter. I feel so blessed that the ENT I went was familiar with the Meniett device. Yes, it's expensive but compared to being immobilized and spending days laying VERY still in bed, it's a bargain. I purchased my Meniett the middle of 2009. I used it faithfully 3 times a day and within 4 months my episodes had decreased. I was working during the entire year of 2009 but was able to retire that December. It is almost 2017 and I still use the same device. I've had 4 tube replacements, in office procedures. For me, the Meniett was life changing. I've only had one episode in all these years and I believe that was because I missed treatments since I was feeling so well. It works!
