recently .. i got very sick. was told i had strep , then given antibiotics to clear it (erythromycin) then found out i came back NEGATIVE for strep. i was then told i had mono or just a virus. so i stopped the medication (antibiotics only help bacterial infections) .. i stopped for 2 doses and the whitish yellowish spots came back on my tonsils. so i started taking the antibiotic again. a few days after starting the medication, i lost hearing in my right ear.. was told it was fluid in my middle ear. but im kind of nervous its something more serious like meningitis. my sickness started as a sore throat (like swallowing blades), whitish yellow spots on tonsils, stiff neck, swollen neck, stomach cramps/ stomach ache. could it be that i have meningitis? i have had the loss of hearing for about 4 or so days now and am worried .
