HI all, I was prescribed Oestraclin Estradiol 0.6mg gel in Spain. I have been rubbing it in my arm once a day and it has soothed some of my menopause symptoms. I am home now and two questions. Is this bioidentical HRT and how long before it takes effect? As I still have a Uterus, I prob need a small dose progesterone cream also. Can I get this in a health food shop as I tried a pharmacy and they said I need a prescription. Can anyone recommend a low dose cream or a brand name and what is the normal small dose amount? Hi there, I do a progesterone cream 15 days into my cycle.....but from what I understand bio identical is usually made through a compounding pharmacy. Before I started I was pretty much depleted in both estridiol and progesterone, after using the progesterone a lot of my symptoms decreased and my last blood test showed that my hormone levels are back where they should be. Are you getting blood tests to check your levels. I get mine tested again next month and I may be able to stop using the creams.
Thanks for reply. I need to get bloods done. I did get bloods to find out I went thru the Menopause. I was just in Spain so I got this cream over there. I am getting hot flushes, weight gain around middle, itchy skin, feeling low.... I def have a hormonal imbalance. Is it not something you should be on for a while. If you go off them will symptoms not reappear? I will def get all my tests done on this... I was hoping I could get a progesterone cream in a health shop...it's just a case of finding the right amount of each for me..

Yes the one I have is prescription, but I do have another one that is as close to progesterone you can get and I order it online, but I can't put the name on here.
