MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Hi,  Just wanted to wish everyone a great time.  Having a flare up at the moment which is not nice but I know self inflicted as I have been enjoying a few drinks with friends in the lead up to Christmas.  Was it worth it, definately - three great nights, I am stuck at home recovering from my foot op and haven't been out since so it was lovely of my friends to visit at this busy time.

I am treating things and they are already calming down.  Hope you all manage to celebrate without too much bother.  I do worry though how much damage this will do.

Never mind. too late now.  Taking it easy from now on. Hubby cooked me a lovely dinner and no dessert as I am too full,  Hope your meals all go successfully.  Wishing you all the very best for the rest of Christmas and for 2015 x

Happy Holidays Chrisy.  I hope your foot will heal well and you can keep your spirits up in spite of flare up.

I will stay 'celebate' , had a good reminder of the ugliness of the familiar 'pins and needles' due to flue.  Almost over it.

Enjoy the rest of the holidays.

Sometimes reminders are a necessity. I've had the old tear return a little. Clobe two or three nights in a row. Hard to say whether it was family sturm & drang or my lemon custard tarts...

You live dangerously, Morrell (ha)

I know. But the tear these days is very shallow. It had already healed by bedtime last night.

Me too, already healed now.  Such a relief.  It pays to treat fast and correctly.

This gives me confidence in Dermovate. It's keeping the LS area from thickening. Yes, there's a bit of a white area, but in the old days it would tear really deep and bleed and be so painful. Now, watching daily in the mirror, I see the slightest hint of a tear as a problem and address it with an extra day of a smidgen of Dermovate. There's a huge difference between eating crap every day and having a treat occasionally.

Season's Greetings to Chrisy and all -

Isn't it wonderful to have our 'LS forum friends' here to share holiday thoughts with!

Like you and others I decided to celebrate for a few brief days - like in the old days before LS - and I am paying the price.  So what you all told me - "sugar, wine, chocolate"  have proved to be the gremlins that make me itch and burn.

But it is Christmas, and I said "So what?  Time to take a chance."  So like you, Morrell, I threw caution to the wind - for a few times - and back to the Clob until I regain my sanity.  But this time, I feel I know what to do and I can handle the flare up without being scared.  Like you, Chrisy, I wonder what damage I have done.

Here's my news!  As a Christmas/Anniversary gift, (our 50th is today!), our daughter and husband are taking us on a Caribbean cruise  the first week in February.  Our son-in-law's parents too as their 50th was Dec. 19th - and our two grandchildren.

We have never gone on a cruise before and I am so excited!  But how will I cope?  I am going back to strict living tomorrow and be very good until then. I will have to pack  all my 'helps'  ( like squirt bottle, clob, coconut cream, etc) - please  give me some advice on this!!  I just do want to have a good week on the ocean!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you.  So thankful for all of you for giving us all hope!

Congratulations, Helen – what generous kids! If it's 'all-you'can-eat' all you need do is avoid sweet desserts and don't get too carried away with fruit, either. See if you can keep the drinking to a glass or two of wine. I'd stay out of the pool. The salt water should be a boon! Lucky you – enjoy!

Hi Helen,  What a fantastic anniversary present.  You should not worry too much.  I went to Gran Canaria last year and being all inclusive is the best.  I found that as I wasn't stressed I was able to be a little more naughty with my food and drink as long as I didn't go too overboard.  Like Morrell says try to be a little careful with the citrus fruit, and I did stay out of the pool.  I had the desserts but went for smaller sized desserts in the hope that I was eating less sugar.  Taking the clob with me and keeping as clean as poss the whole time I was there was the answer.  I had a small leather makeup bag with all my necessary items inside.  This looked like a small clutch bag so I was able to take it to the loo without being obvious.  Inisde I had a small pot I got in a travel set which I filled with moisturiser to carry with me all day. I also carried the clob so that I could treat immediately I felt any soreness.  Have a brilliant time and don't worry.  I am sure you will be fine.
